Murray makes first Masters Final - Tennis
Andy Murray reached his first Masters Final with a straight sets win over Ivo Karlovic in yesterdays Semi Final.
The Croatian who put out Roger Federer in a previous round tried to use his big serve to unsettle Murray in the first set and the tactic looked like succeeding as he went on to break Murray. However the young Scot showed the grit and determination he is fast becoming famous for to break back to win the first set 6-4.
The second set followed a similar pattern but Murray won it 6-4 to set up a final tonight against Novak Djokovic who beat Rafa Nadal also in straight sets in the second semi.
Nadal who has just knocked Federer off the number one spot suffered his first defeat in 33 matches and looked a touch jaded, but that was not to take anything away from Djokovic who seems to be returning to form after a time in the wilderness due to injury.
