Zimbabwe to miss next years 20/20 World Cup - Cricket
Zimbabwe will miss next years 20/20 World Cup to be played in England next year it has been announced.
The decision was taken voluntarily and the Zimbabweans have not been suspended from international cricket yet by the ICC, but there is no doubt pressure was applied to safe guard the event.
As always opinion was divided on the decision with Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India supporting Zimbabwe.
My opinion is Sport and politics should be kept seperate but in the real World this never seems to happen, but if one way of showing disgust at certain events Worldwide is to boycott Sporting events them i personally feel it has to be done.
Most of us are fortunate to be able to be free to watch and participate in Sport, but it is at times like this that thought should be given to those less fortunate.
