Williams girls stay on course for Final clash - Wimbledon Ladies Singles.

For the first time in Wimbledon ladies Singles history none of the First 3 seeds had made it to the quarter final stage of the tournament, and indeed the top seed left was the number5 seed Elena Dementieva of Russia.

She was however pushed all the way in her Quarter Final match against fellow Russian Nadia Petrova but finally triumphed 6-3 in the Final set.

She now goes on to meet Serena Williams in the Semi Finals which take place on Thursday after she powered to yet another straight set win 6-4, 6-0 against Radwanska of Poland,. Radwanska never really looked on the pace of the match and was soon dispatched by her more experienced opponent.

The other semi will see Venus Williams take on the surprise of the Ladies event this year, wild card entrant Zheng of China.

Venus again looked like a champion when she beat Tanasugarn of Thailand in straight sets again 6-3, 6-4, whilst Zheng battled past Vaidasova of the Czech Republic the number 1 seed in 3 sets,
6-2 5-7 6-1.

Today sees the Mens Quarter Final and the match of the round has to be Andy Murray and Rafa Nadal, both men have been in good form at this years event and hopefully we will be treated to another classic encounter today.
