South Africa thrash England - Cricket - 2nd Test

The second test between England and South Africa at Headingley end yesterday in an embarrassing 10 wicket defeat for England.

The South Africans dominated the match from day one and though many re looking at the team selection as a reason for the defeat, the fact remains that the whole England unit looked woefully off the pace.

A P De Villiers who was accused by England captain Michael Vaughan of "Grounding" a catch during England's first innings answered the boo boys in the best way possible by hitting 174 in his innings and England in truth never looked like they had the belief or were capable of making any real impression of the South African score of 522.

It will be interesting to see what the selectors do to try to rectify the situation as the Springbok have a 1-0 in the 4 test series and with the 3rd Test at Edgbaston starting on the 30th July.
