Shorey becomes possible Villa target - Transfer Chat
Nicky Shorey, Reading`s England full back has become a prospective target for Villa boss Martin O`Neill following the injury to regular full back Wilfred Bouma left him short of experienced cover in the left back position.
Shorey would be keen on a quick return to premiership football after Reading were relegated at the end of last season and he could be one of several signings the Villa boss makes as he looks to strengthen his squad before he big kick off.
Everton forward Andy Johnson could soon be on his way to Fulham, as David Moyes again tries to raise cash to bring in his pre season targets, the top one being Portugese midfielder Moutinho.
Johnson has been chased by several clubs since he became available for a move including Wigan and Aston Villa, but it looks like he could be returning to the Capital where he launched his career at Crystal Palace.
Cesc Fabregas has come out and declared his intention to stay with Arsenal despite the rumours to the contrary coming out of Madrid. The talented midfielder who did so much to help Spain win this Summer`s European Championship is said to be extremely happy in London at the moment and though he does not rule out a move in the future, for the present at least Gunners fans can breath easier.
