Iraq banned from Beijing Games - Olympics.
Iraq have been banned from the Olympic games which are scheduled to start in Beijing, China in just over 2 weeks time.
The International Olympic Committee took the steps due to what they felt was Governmental interference.
The Iraqi government said it took action as a result of alleged corruption within the countries Olympic committee, but the IOC have firm guidelines on what they perceived as Governmental interference and took the steps which led to to days decision.
The Iraqi`s were due to send 7 competitors to the games.
