Hibs Intertoto Cup dream ends.
Hibernians hopes of progress in this seasons Intertoto Cup was brought toan early conclusion on an artificial pitch in Sweden yesterday.
Already 2-0 down from the first leg they conceded an early goal which ended any resistance, and it was obvious they were never at ease on the surface.
Elfsborg scored a further goal in the second half to make it 2-0 on the day and 4-0 on aggregate leaving coach Paateleinen and his team wth only the hope of going further next season!!
The Swedes who are already well into their season sitting 2nd in their league after 13 games always had the advantage due to their suerior fitness and doubts must be cast over the wisdom of some sides entering this compettion without proper pre season preparation.
