Hamilton roars to Silverstone victory - Formula 1

Lewis Hamilton had in his words "The best win of his career" When he came 4th on the grid at the start to win the British Grad Prix at Silverstone yesterday.

Hamilton had not scored points in his previous 2 races and the pressure was building heading into his home event, but the young British driver went a long way to answer his critics by responding to the challenging and finishing ahead Heidfeld in the BMW and Barrichello in the Honda.

The win lifted Hamilton to joint top of the drivers championship table on 48 points with Massa and Raikkonen and 2 ahead of Kubicka in what is fast becoming one of the closest and most exciting Drivers titles in recent years.

In the constructors title race Ferrari still lead from BMW with Mclaren 3rd in what is now in effect a 3 horse race (or should that be horse-power!).
