Vicente Del Bosque former coach of Real Madrid was yesterday named as the successor to Luis Aragones as the new boss of newly crowned European Champions Spain.
The 57 year old faces the task of getting Spain to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa as well as competing in next years Confederation Cup.
Del Bosque won 2 titles and a Champions League in his tenure as Real Madrid coach and starts his reign as the new Spanish coach with a friendly in Denmark before the World Cup qualifiers start in September with a home tie against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Aragones left the Spanish role to tke over at Turkish club Fenerbache immediately after Spains success.
