Bentley completes Spurs switch - Transfer Talk Today.

David Bentley completed his £15 million move to Spurs from Blackburn yesterday after successfully passing a medical at White Hart Lane. The England international is rumoured to have signed a 6 years contract with Spurs and if rumours are to be believed could soon be joined by Russian pair Roman Pavlyuchenko and Andre Arshavin, though if these deals were to be done it could mean the exit of Dimitar Berbatov to help fund them.

Arsenal have sign Portugese under 21 international midfielder Amuary Bischoff from Werder Bremen for an undisclosed fee. The 21 year old is thought to have been a target of Arsene Wenger for some time though he only featured once for the Bremen first team last term and that was in a UEFA Cup tie against Celta Vigo. Bischoff can play in either centre or right midfield so his presence will help to fill the gap left by the departure of Gilberto, Flamini and Hleb though he is far from the finished article and the experienced player Wenger has gone on record as saying will join the club before the transfer window.

With Liverpool seemingly having ended their interest in Vila`s Gareth Barry maybe it is time for the Gunners boss to loosen the purse strings and by both an experienced international and an Englishman.

In a busy day in the transfer market Steed Malbranque joined fellow ex Spurs players Pascal Chimbona and Teemu Taino at Sunderland though the likely hood of a fourth Spurs player Younes Kaboul joinging them is unlikely due to the lack of seismic activity around the Stadium of Light (Kaboul was allegedly quoted as saying it would take a earthquake to get him there!). Knowing the Mackens sense of humour i look forward to Kabouls next visit to that part of the country which ever club he is at.

Also on the move yesterday was Tal Ben Haim who left Chelsea to sign for Mark HughesManchester City and i feel this could be one of the shrewdest signings of the Summer as he Israeli international never got a fair chance at the Bridge due to form of Terry and Carvalho and to me is an underrated player.

Fulham were also busy yesterday with what again could be a good signing as they snapped up Swedish full back Freddi Stoor from Rosenborg of Norway. Stoor was impressive in this Summer`s European Championships and will not only add stability to a shaky Fulham back line but give them good attacking options with his probes down the line.
