Federer makes it 60 not out - Wimbledon 2008
Roger Fededer in search of his 6 consecutive Wimbledon title eased past his forst round opponet Dominic Hrabaty of Slovakia 6-3 6-2 6-2 and in the process record his 60th straight win on grass.
Th top seed demonstrated why he is odds on favourite to win this years Mens singles title by winning the first 11 points of the match against his game opponent and never looked to be in any danger of progressing.
In other games yesterday the biggest suprise was the defeat of David Nalbandian the number 7 seed who went out in 3 sets to Dankovic of Canada, other seeds to exit yesterday were Ivo Karlovic the number 18 seed and Michel LLodra of rance the number 32.
In the ladies singles there was one suprise with 12th seed Patti Sshynder of Switzerland exiting in 3 sets to Delacqua of Australia.
British success was again hard to find with Alex Bogdanovic lost in 4 sets to Bolelli of Italy but in the Ladies singles Elena Baltacha gave her usual gutsy performance to beat Kerber of Germany in 3 sets, she will now face China`s Jie Zheng in the second round after she put out number 30 seed Dominka Cibulkova.
