Transfer Talk - More from the rumour mill.
Who? - El Hadji Diouf - Speculation Where is he? - Bolton Wanderers Who is he linked with? - Manchester City
Bolton Wanderers midfielder El-Hadji Diouf is thought to be targeting a move to Manchester City. The 27-year-old almost certainly played his last game at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday as Wanderers beat Sunderland 2-0, and it is believed he wants to head to City. However, while City chief executive Alistair Mackintosh is rumoured to have met up with the player's representatives, it is thought the club is not as keen on the deal as Diouf is. Diouf began his career with Sochaux in 1998 and stayed in France until 2002. In that year he moved to Liverpool, but he was loaned out to Bolton in 2004 and joined on a permanent basis in 2005.
Who? - Jose Bosingwa - Speculation Where is he? - Porto Who is he linked with? - Manchester United
The agent of Jose Bosingwa has played down talk linking his player with a move to Manchester United in the summer. The Porto right-back is thought to be a target of the Old Trafford club, but Rui Neno has insisted: "There is not any sort of agreement with Manchester United. However, Neno added that talks could commence if Porto's valuation was met. "If any club bid the 30 million euros set by the club, I believe there might be agreement. In Bosingwa's contract there is not any buyout clause preventing him from negotiating."
Who? - Players - Speculation Where is he? - Anywhere Who is he linked with? - Stoke City
Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has said the club must spend big in the summer to avoid an automatic return to the Championship. A goalless draw with Leicester City on Sunday afternoon promoted the Potters to the top flight, and Pulis has said: "The financial rewards would give us a chance, if we are clever enough. It's about good players and about having the resources. It's knowing where the players are but we'll have to spend more money than this club has ever dreamed of spending before."
