Who? - Alex Hleb and Mathieu Flamini - Speculation Where is he? - Arsenal Who is he linked with? - The exit door

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said he will not break the bank to keep star players at the club in the summer. Alexander Hleb and Mathieu Flamini have been linked with the exit door in recent months, with Hleb attracting the interest of Inter Milan and Flamini able to leave for free. The club still has massive debts to pay from their move to the Emirates Stadium in 2006, and Wenger has said they must bear this in mind when establishing player wages. "We have 360million debt and we have to respect the wages structure or we will go bust, it is as simple as that," Wenger said. "It is not that you cannot respect the wages structure, we cannot afford not to do it. We want to respect what is planned. The numbers are the numbers. I feel always when we make a decision in the club the same decision is valid in 10 years. That means in 10 years it still should work, that the club works with its income and not with somebody who comes in by parachute into your court, and brings you a huge amount of money. For me that's not workable and not morally right.

Who? - Kaspar Schmeichel - Speculation Where is he? - Manchester City Who is he linked with? - The exit door

Kaspar Schmeichel will leave Manchester City in the summer, according to his father Peter. The 21-year-old enjoyed a successful start to this season, putting in a number of impressive performances. However, he has since lost his place to Joe Hart and been loaned out to Championship sides Cardiff and Coventry. City will embark upon an end-of-season tour in Thailand in May, and Schmeichel will take part. But his father said: "It's one of the last things he's going to do as a Manchester City player. He's leaving this season."

Who? - Players - Speculation Where is he? - Anywhere Who is he linked with? - Portsmouth

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has played down talk linking him with a number of players in the forthcoming transfer window. Pompey are rumoured to be interested in Benfica defender Luisao, as well as Tottenham duo Pascal Chimbonda and Paul Robinson. However, Redknapp has said he has no need for those players. "Luisao - who? Sorry, don't know him," he told The News. "Chimbonda, no, he's a right-back and I've got the best right-back in England in Glen Johnson. I don't need another. I don't need Paul Robinson either, no. He's a good little player, but no."
