Tip of the Day - Stockport v. Wycombe
Stockport take on Wycombe this evening in the 2nd leg of the League 2 Play Off Semi Final at Edgeley Park.
The first game last Sunday ended in a 1-1 but in my opinion Stockport were the better side and deserved at least the draw they got. Jim Gannon the Stockport boss has put together a good band of young players who try and keep the ball on the ground and play football in the right way.
Also in striker Liam Dickinson they have a player who weather County make it to League One or not is destined to play at a higher level.
Gannon and Wycombe manager Paul Lambert had words prior to the first leg which has added spice to these encounters and Gannon was happy to remind his opposite number about the 6-0 thrashing that Stockport gave Wycombe when they visited Edgeley Park in December.
Stockport scored 40 goals at home in the regular season which was one more then Champions MK Dons managed in their 23 home games but did concede 30 which could be a problem but though i do not expect another 6-0 in Stockports favour this evening i do expect them to win the game as what i saw of them on Sunday i liked and i was told by a Stockport fan who was in the same bar as me (I was there purely for research) they had been playing like that for most of the season.
Pinnacle are offering 15/13 best price about a Stockport win and i will be taking that along with a saver on the overs in the total booking points, as Sunday`s encounter was a fiesty affair and i can see this heading in the same direction. Over 46 points 6/4 generally and i can see more then 4 bookings in this one.
So a Stockport win and over 46 booking points for me today.
