Rangers get Reward - Scottish Cup Final
After a season that promised so much Rangers won their 2 trophy yesterday when they beat a gallant Queen of the South team 3-2 to lift the Scottish Cup at Hampden.
Much has been said and written about Rangers fixture backlog but in the first half of their 68th game of the season you could possibly of asked yourself what the problem was as Rangers cruised into a 2 goal lead thanks to goals from Kris Boyd and USA international DaMarcus Beasley.
However when the sides came out for the 2nd half it looked like fatigue had caught up with the Ger`s as Queen of the South hit back with 2 goals in 3 minutes from Steve Tosh and John Thompson.
The Rangers players looked visibly shaken when the second goal went in and the thought of extra time and even penalties must have been going through their minds, but in the 73rd minute Kris Boyd scored his 2nd of the game and 25th of the season to give Rangers the win.
But all credit to a brave Queen of the South team that played good football and pushed their illustious opponents to the limit.
