La Liga - Real Madrid crowned Champions
Real Madrid were crowned Champions of Spain with 3 games to go last night after their 2-1 win at Osasuna, goals from Robben and Higuain were enough to sel th title even though Madrid had to play with 10 men after the sending off of Cannavaro.
Earlier in the day Villareal had done thier bit to try to keep the title race alive when they beat Getafe 2-0 but in the end it was to no avail.
Elsewhere Barcelona put the disappointment of their Champions League exit to Man Utd behind them by thrashing a poor Valencia side 6-0 at the Nou Camp. Goals from Messi (pen), Xavi and 2 each from Henry and Bojan gave Barca fans something to cheer but on the other hand there must be real fears that Valencia will be heading out of La Liga on this display, they have Zaragoza and Atletico Madrid at home and Levante away in their final 3 games but need vastly improved perfrmance if they are not to join Levante and Murcia in League 2 next season.
