Holloway and Leicester part company.

After what seemed a stay of execution for Ian Holloway after Leicester were relegated to League 1 for the first time in their history at the end of the season, it was announced yesterday that he had left the club by mutual consent.

Holloway, a popular figure in the game could not get the best out of the squad assembled at the Walkers Stadium and he paid the price of failure in a season that promised so much at the start.

Milan Mandaric the clubs chairman has stated that he intends to stay at the club and help in the rebuilding process and the start of that process could see Paul Lambert installed as the Foxes new coach after he resigned from his job at Wycombe earlier this week after the lost their League 2 play off semi to Stockport.
