Blue Square Premier Play Offs - Cambridge make Final
Cambridge United beat Burton 2-1 last night and 4-3 on aggregate to reach the Blue Square Premier Play Off Final where they will play Exeter who overcame local rivals Torquay on Monday.
The final should be a close fought affair with only 3 points seperating Exeter who finished 5th and Cambridge who finished 3rd.
Both sides went into the play offs in good form and Exeter in particular did well to recover from losing the home leg of their play off to win 4-1 at Torquay in the second leg.
This looks to be the classic encounter between the high scorers (Exeter) and the canny defense (Cambridge).
Exeter had the better of the League encounters with a 1-0 win at Cambridge and a 0-0 at home but i feel Cambridge may just have the edge in the final and join Aldershot in League 2 next season.
