Their opponents today Bristol City are sitting 4th at the moment and need a point from today's game or next weeks home game against Preston to themselves make the play offs.
However going into this match Sheff U are definitely the form side of the two with 4 wins 1 draw and 1 defeat in their last 6 games and a forward in James Beattie who has hit form at just the right time.
Bristol City on the other hand are in a run of form more worthy of relegation contenders with one win in 6 and no wins on the road since the beat Colchester 2-1 at Layer Road at the end on February.
In my opinion the 11/10 on offer about a Sheffield United win this afternoon is to tempting for me to ignore, i know all bad runs have to end sometime but i will be hoping Bristol City`s will not end for one more game.
So Sheffield United to win to keep their faint promotion hopes alive depending on other scores today for one more week.
