QPR Mis-Management Is A Farce

♠ I want to know why we played 4 strikers and 2 attacking midfeilders away at Palace.

♠ I want to know why we played central midfielder Smith and striker Baidoo out of position out wide against Southampton instead of just go 4-3-3.

♠ I want to know why Jones was dropped for Nygaard against Luton. I want to know why Nygaard was then dropped for Furlong the next game, even though Nygaard had just played his first game for 3 months and was always going to lack match practise. I want to know why not just put Jones back in, if Nygaard is that bad.

♠ I want to know why Rehman played at right back against Barnsley, while Mancienne played in the centre, even though Rehman has not ever played at right back, while Mancienne was learning to play at right back for 8 games or so. Alernatively, I want to know why Rehman is at right back against Barnsley, while Rose is fit and is shown the door while allegedly on a pay-per-play deal.

♠ I want to know why Gallen is scoring for Plymouth on loan, while Gregory is rotating Jones, Nygaard and Furlong.

♠ I want to know WTF Paladini is doing telling Holloway how to manage the team, by shutting the phone off when Holloway wants to buy a 100k striker Hayles, who is experienced and is now scoring for Plymouth. All the while Paladini is waffling on about Blackstock will be playing in 2 seasons when Hayles is retired. We'll be relegated by then, Blackstock will be off and we'll be up shit street with no paddle. Paladini will be out the door probably too.

Damn. I hate getting on the manager's back, the chairman's back, the club's back. But for crying out loud these folk are just staff. They don't care like I do and they are all over the gaff seemingly more interested in playing smartass by getting rid of the likes of Gallen.

The mis-management needs to stop because we are going down.

Rose Leaves During QPR Mass Exodus

Rose Released
QPR defender Matthew Rose has been released by manager John Gregory. 31 year old Rose has been a decent servant to the Rangers since joining from Arsenal, bought for 500k by Stewart Houston. Rose played at centre back and central midfield over the years. Rose was also impressive at left back, but despite denials from the his agent, Rosie was injury prone. So much so I gather Rose was on a pay-per-play deal. Rose has been fit lately, but Gregory only played him 3 times, once from the bench and twice subbing Rosie around half time, so the writing was on the wall.

QPR Mass Exodus
Gregory sure has got rid of a few players lately. I am hoping QPR eventually replace numbers with a bit of quality.

Matthew Rose, Adam Czerkas, Ian Evatt, Egutu Oliseh, Ugo Ukah, Scott Donnelly, Jonathan Munday and Matthew Hislop have left the club recently. I am sure more players will be shown the door before long.

Tommy Doherty (loan), Sean Thomas (loan) and Kevin Gallen (loan) will probably not play for QPR again, who knows?

Gallen Gone

Kevin Gallen is gone. Off to Plymouth to play for Ian Holloway on loan until the end of the season. Kevin's QPR contract is up in the summer, so I doubt QPR fans will see him play at Loftus Road again.

Goodbye Gallen writes Ron Norris. Read it if you are a QPR fan, it is a good write-up of Kevin Gallen's career.

Thanks Kev
I would like to thank Gallen for being a true-superhoop. Injuries have got the better of him lately. Aside that, manager after manager plays Kev at right wing and centre midfield. I think Gallen should play up front and be left there. The player is a talented forward who will do his best for the team in midfield unlike many strikers, that does not make him a midfielder.

Ian Evatt Released To Blackpool

25yr old centre back Ian Evatt has been released to Blackpool by QPR manager John Gregory after having his current contract terminated .

Evatt has been on loan at Blackpool for the six months of the 2006-2007 season and was obviously not going to be returning. Evatt, an Ian Holloway signing, has never impressed at QPR, either in defence or as a holding midfielder.

QPR Blog Comment :: Good luck out there Ian Evatt.

Ray Jones Signs At Last

Not all footballers are idiots it seems. 18 Year old striker Ray Jones has finally signed professional terms with QPR, penning a 3.5 year deal.

Plucked from Dalston Park obscurity at 16, only to find himself playing first team football in 18 months with Rangers, I think Jones would have been extremely unloyal to leave QPR on a free transfer before ever signing pro terms.

John Gregory feels Ray Jones had been ill-advised by his agent. Ex agent and now QPR chairman Gianni Paladini is in full agreement - unsurprisingly. Gladly, sense prevailed. I wonder what sell on clause Jones has in his contract.

Last and least - Fulham's disgraceful 50k attempt to lure Ray Jones from their struggling neighbours at Loftus Road, before he ever signed pro terms, will come back to bite their sorry Hammersmith backsides. It's all in the game Fulham manager Chris Coleman will say. Right as he may be technically, Fulham are still bang out of order.
