Fabio Capello will be the next England team manager. He is Italian if you don't know, and can't guess.
Ever since the Scotsman
Adam Crozier decided to appoint the Swede
Sven Goran Eriksson to the England manager's job, to teach us stupid English how to do things, it's become ok for England not to have an Englishman in charge.
All this because we are supposed to be a leading football nation, with aspirations of winning international trophies. I say international football should consist of people eligible to play for the team, or they can't serve as backroom staff.
Otherwise we might aswell bring in
Gianluigi Buffon to play in goal no?
Anyway, I wish the man all the best, and hope Capello can help England win something.

I am not impressed, and I am not particularly happy with the signing. If we were playing unsexy footie before, it'll be nothing compared to the next few years. Big Effing Sigh.
OK, are you gonna get a pop-up comments box anytime soon?
I put the comments box to popup, if that's what you like. Makes no odds to me..
What I do know, is we are supposedly a major footballing nation, who "should" win something ahead of Argentina, Brazil, Holland, Germany, Italy, France and so on.
But none of those firms would employ a foreigner as manager, no matter how good he is.
He has just played a major wrong card by leaving Beckham out of the squad announced today (31/1/08). It was the easiest game for him to award the honour to one of our footballing greats, indeed he could have made him Captain, and saved the headache of filling that hole for a little longer. Even an unfit Beckham could have played 60 mins against Switzerland, and then come off to a rousing reception. Capello will lose cred with a great many England supporters for this. And where the hell were the FA, his bosses. They could/should have made it happen. For crisakes they even have a customer relations team! They must all take their annual leave together at this time of the year. It's a f***ing disgrace!
