QPR have parted company with
John Gregory, after the dreadful display away at WBA yesterday afternoon (lost 5-1), and the dismal league form.
I am not one for a willy nilly berating of anyone at QPR, be that player, coach, manager or tea-lady. Frankly, to berate the performance of the team, and the manager's performance this season, would be to berate the obvious - so i'll not do so.
♠ What I will say is many many thanks go to John Gregory for doing his level-best over the years, as a QPR player and manager. Cheers John. Sorry it had to end this way.
Too many QPR stalwarts have left this club under a cloud lately. Holloway, Waddock, Kevin Gallen and Alan Macdonald to name just a few. Hopefully today will be the day, when QPR's fortunes start to take an upward turn, after 15 years in the doldrums.
Paladini On John Gregory Leaving QPR
"The club would like to thank John for everything he has done during a difficult period as manager," chairman Gianni Paladini told the QPR website.
In particular, (we would like to thank him) for saving us from relegation last season.
However, the performances and results this season have not met with our expectations. The league table does not lie.
The club have decided to act swiftly in time to turn things around for the remainder of the season."

About fucking time grease ball was sacked.
Gregory was going to take us down by xmas if somethig was not done about our team soon.
Thankyou Josh for your insightful
and constructive comment. With fans like you who needs the Blue Scum. Under the circumstances you should be thanking Gregory for saving us from oblivion last season.
Josh is a josher. Probably a Chelski fan.
JG has had it rough this year, what with having to sell Cook to balance the books, Ray Jones (rip) and the takeover.
Respect due to JG. Might have been worth a few more games. But i cant argue with the decision after losing 1-5 to West brom..
As a Leicester City supporter, I am not surprised at the sacking of John Gregory. Let's face it, he has never been successful at any football club he has managed, and he has had his chances. I hope you get yourselves a decent manager to sort your club out. If I were your chairman, I would take a serious look at Martin Allen, I reckon he would be ideal for QPR. The vast majority of Leicester supporters were very sad & angry when Milan Mandaric sacked him, although we still don't know the reasons for this happening. He was extremely popular with the fans, his enthusiasm was infectious, and the closest thing we have had to our Messiah - Martin O'Neil. Wherever Martin Allen goes, I personally wish him the very best of luck, & I hope he proves that Mandaric made a mistake in getting rid of him. Good luck for the rest of the season, just don't finish above us!!
i knew when they appointed John Gregory that he would end up getting the sack. no disrespect to the man as i admired him as a player. but he didnt have what it takes as a manager. As for the names that are being touted as his replacement, i dont think they would do any better. we need someone with a high profile and good managerial credentials. they have the backing and money now. But they shouldnt let Paladini choose coz he dont know wot he is doing either.
