Scottish Cup Gambling Tips
A last minute goal by Drogheda last night gave us a winning bet yesterday
and restored my faith in the power of prayer!
Today in the hope of keeping my run going I am going to Scotland and the
1st round League Cup match between Dundee and Morton.
Both teams are in the Scottish 1st division and both started their league
campaigns with wins.
Dundee won 2-0 at Livingston and Morton had a 3-2 win at home to Clyde.
Early team news is that Dundee will have three players from suspension for
the game tonight Derek Lyle, back-up keeper Craig Samson and
player/manager Alex Rae all come back into contention after missing
Saturday's win over Livingston whilst the visitors Morton will be without
injured players Scott McLaughlin, David McGregor and Bobby Linn.
The head to head record over the last six games is:
Mar 14, 98 First Division Dundee FC 2 - 0 Greenock Morton
Jan 17, 98 First Division Greenock Morton 0 - 0 Dundee FC
Nov 22, 97 First Division Dundee FC 0 - 1 Greenock Morton
Sep 27, 97 First Division Greenock Morton 0 - 2 Dundee FC
May 3, 97 First Division Greenock Morton 1 - 1 Dundee FC
Feb 22, 97 First Division Dundee FC 1 - 0 Greenock Morton
But as the last meetings between the sides was over 9 years ago I feel not
much can be taken from this.
Dundee finished last season 3rd although they were in the end 13 points
behind league winners Gretna, whilst Morton were Champions of Division 2
finishing 8 points clear of 2nd placed Stirling Albion.
Dundee are one of the favourites for promotion to the Scottish premier
league this season along with Dunfermline and St Johnstone and I am going
for them to win tonight at best odds 4/5 with various bookies.
I feel home advantage will tell for them and they should progress to round 2.
Good luck as always,
Silverfox.
