Aston Villa striker Shaun Maloney will not be returning to Celtic, according to his agent. Celtic boss Gordon Strachan has been coy on the possibility of a return for the player, but John Halliwell has explained that Maloney is staying put. Who? - Carlos Tevez - Speculation
Where is he? - West Ham United
Who is he linked with? - Manchester United

Manchester United chief executive David Gill has admitted his frustration with the club's protracted efforts to sign Carlos Tevez. The Red Devils have been trying to seal the 23-year-old's signature for several weeks, but have found their path blocked by legal wranglings. The deal has stalled because the Premier League have insisted that any transfer has to happen directly between the two clubs, rather than involving Kia Joorabchian, who owns the player's economic rights. "It's become over-complicated," said Gill. "Effectively, we are trying to work with four parties. We're dealing with the player, West Ham, the company who own his economic rights and the Premier League."
