Goodwood Horseracing Betting
As most of you who regularly read the BLOG know i mainly specialise in
soccer betting but i also have a keen interest in horse racing.
I tend to be more of a jumps man but with the start today of "Glorious
Goodwood" thought i`d share with you a tip i received from a good source.
As in all betting no guarantees but you should get a good run for your money.
The race is the 4.00 and the horse is Spirit of Sharjah he is generally
7/1 with most bookies and at that price is worth an each way investment at
least.
The weather has improved in the Goodwood area so the ground has come
right for him.
The 6f was just not his cup of tea last time so a line can be drawn
through that race i feel.
His run in the Norfolk Stakes when running very keenly on only his second
outing may have taken a bit too much out of him when running on late to go
down a shade over a length to the useful Winker Watson.
If he had settled a bit better he may have had the race for the taking.
Runners in the Norfolk stakes traditionally do well in this race and
hopefully this year will be no different, although the draw may have been
kinder, with the going as it is, the draw may not be as effective as it
has been in the past when pre meeting watering has been the norm, I'm
looking for the front runners to be found wanting in the final furlong
having set things up nicely for Spirit of Sharjah to charge home late to
land the spoils here.
Well thats the theory and hopefully trainer Julie Fielden will have her
charge revved up and ready to go and with Jimmy Fortune in the saddle i
fully expect the horse to run a big race.
So Spirit of Sharjah for be at best price 7/1 with various bookies,
