Champions League Qualification Betting

Tonight sees the first set of games in the first qualifying round of the
Champions League and a road which will end with 2 teams fighting out the
final on the 21st May 2008 in Moscow.

The game i am looking at is between Linfield of Northern Ireland and
Elfsborg of Sweden.

The winners of this tie will have a 2nd round match to look forward to
against Debrecen of Hungary and a real chance of getting to the lucrative
3rd Qualifying round where they could face one of the big boys.

Linfield won the championship by 8 points from Glentoran and only lost 1
match all season but they will be lacking competative match practice as
their season does not start till September.

They have played only 2 pre season friendlies a 5-0 win against an amateur
team Newbuildings which they won away 5-0 and in their last match they
beat The New Saints of Wales 2-1 so not much can be learnt from those
games.

Elfsborg on the other hand are well into their season and top the Swedish
Allsvenskan and have won 4 and drawn 2 of their last 6 games.

This i feel will be a great advantage to them and though they do not have
the best away record winning 4 drawing 1 and losing 3 in the league so far
they should have the edge over their Irish Opponenets tonight.

Elfsborg are best price 4/6 with Paddy Power for tonights game and i feel
even though they are odds on that the price offers a bit of value.

So for me Elfsborg to beat Linfield @best price 4/6 with Paddy Power.

Good Luck,

Silverfox.
