Apparently a QPR eleven had a match against the
Chinese U23 National soccer side at Rangers
Harlington training ground today. The Chinese are in London as guests of Chelsea.
I gather the match was called off after a pitch brawl. One Chinese player was taken to hospital with a suspected broken jaw after being knocked unconcious by an un-named as yet QPR player.
A witness to the brawl said that there were punches and kung-fu kicks flying around all over the gaff. QPR were winning the match 2-1 when the mass fight between the two sides broke out.
Dermot Gallagher was the referee of the manic club & international "friendly" and will report to
The FA with his view of the incident, where the police were also called.
Previously Speaking -
Fighting Talk From QPR Manager Gregory"I love to see people that want to punch each other on the training ground and I don't mind players getting into a ruck.
If you've not had a fight on the training ground in a month, you've got a problem - either you're too nice or they're too nice. If people want to win badly, that's infectious - having a fall-out in the dressing room is because you care.
It's all about winning habits and, if I say so myself, that's what I'm good at - getting people into good habits."

It is clear by the vide the Chinese player saw fit to throw a jumping side-kick at the QPR player.
The flying side-kick was made off of the front foot, not the rear. To produce a leading leg flying side-kick, on must be a proficient martial artist. My guess is the fight-starter is a black belt in the minimum.
A charge of assault with intent, or assault with a deadly weapon is a possibilty.
It took 2 QPR players to down the offender, who threw rapid fire multiple head shots in the process.
Paladini is talking of QPR players getting the sack. If that happens, in my opinion, it will be an opportunist strike to rid QPR of some more QPR players out of the rotating door that is QPR FC at the moment.
Additionally, it is reported on the BBC messageboard that the Chinese Olympic u23 side, guests of Chelsea, have also been involved in a fracass with the Chelsea reserves. As a result, the Brentfor boys already pulled out of a friendly with the Chinese.
Chinese Official Admit Some Of Their Players Cannot Control Themselves
"China coach Ratomir Dujkovic admitted he missed the origins of the incident, but added: "Whether the local guys (QPR) or our guys began it is not important. It is unacceptable."
However, team manager Li Xiaoguang insists he will take full responsibility for the incident.
"I would like to make an official apology," he said. "Whatever the reasons for the incident, as the team manager, I will take the responsibility.
"We have noticed some of the young players can not control themselves well. But, although the participants in this incident were the players, I will take all the blame."
Chinese Players Warned To Behave Themselves Before The QPR Friendly
After the match with Chelsea reserve team, we have noticed some of the young players cannot control themselves well. The coaching team even held a special meeting on it.
"On Feb 6, the head coach, Ratomir Dujkovic made a formal speech before the training session and asked the players to behave well on the pitch. In the afternoon of that day, Chinese coaching staff conducted individual talks with all players.
"Even before the match against QPR, the coaching staff again emphasised the discipline with all the starting XI players.
"At the pre-game meeting, I pointed out three basic requirements for all players as: 1. Say yes to referee; 2. Respect the opponents and 3. No counter-attack for any verbal and physical offences.
"However, the unexpected incident happened in any case. I will be conducting a serious inquiry into it.
"We have learnt a lesson from this incident and it will help us to strengthen our management and education of the young players and finally prevent it from happening again."
Chinese Striker Apologises For Starting Pitch Battle
Shanghai Shenhua striker Gao Lin has apologised for his part in China U23's amazing brawl against QPR in a friendly this week.
"I failed to control myself in the match," he said.
"When facing the provocation I failed to obey the three rules of Football: submission to the referee, respecting opponents, and not striking back, which caused the incident I sincerely apologise to the fans."
