Casino Profiting From Under-Age Gambler

On the gambling discussion boards at Winneronline.com there is a reported dispute between a casino and an under-age gambler who won £13,137. The details are printed on the Bellavegas won't pay me my $20K in winnings thread.

Still Under-Age At 19
The player is 19, so would be technically allowed to play at the casino if she resided in a jurisdiction that allowed 18 year olds to bet. In this case, the punter is from Nevada which has a legal gambling age limit of 21. Therefore the player is inelligable to gamble at Bella Vegas Casino according to their underage gambling rules and regulations.

Casino Won't Pay Out Under Age Gambler
The casino won't pay out the under age gambler, as per the rules set out in the under age terms and conditions.

But Casino Already Paid The Player Out Before
The under age gambler has been paid out £1,000 before by Bella Vegas casino. The punter has made 17 previous cash deposits, cashing out three times. Once for a grand, another unknown amount, then the latest cashout for £13,137 was denied for under age rules.

Casino Using Under Age Gaming Laws To Make Profit
Not until the gambler won a 5 figure sum, did the casino bother to check the eligibility of the player. Therefore alledgedly motivated by profit, ie the want to not payout, the casino proceded to check the legal age and related gaming rules and laws regarding the punter.

Gaming Industry Should Take Action
The software suppliers of, the licensing jurisdiction of, the advertisers of, the watchdogs of, the auditors of, anyone remotely associated with the gaming industry or the casino and it's operation in any guise, should be alarmed enough by this casinos flagrant abuse of the under age gaming laws, to take any action against Bella Vegas casino they have at their disposal, until the casino shapes up or closes it's operation.

Gamblog Comment :: The anti gambling brigade are just going to love this one. The quicker the gaming industry take Bella Vegas casino to task, the better.

Free Casino and Poker Games Online

I have forgotten more locations online than I can remember that carry free-to-play games. On my travels as a blogger, I pay little attention to the free casino and poker venues.

I always figured tomorrow I would start a list of free-to-play casino style and poker style resources and add more links to games as I stumble across them. Tomorrow is today in virtual gamers land. It's about time I got around to it.

African Nations Football Betting

The African Nations Cup kicked off a few days ago (20 January 2006). On my travels finding related African soccer info and team form for betting purposes, I found a previously unknown to me Football Betting Tips Blog that carries odds, prices, wagering advice and tips information related specifically to the African Nations.

Playtech Problems Escalating

Playtech licensees currently appear to be in a state of meltdown - hardly a day goes by at the moment in which a player does not report a problem with a Playtech casino on one of the main online gambling forums. Invariably, a bonus is involved; invariably, the casino in question is seeking to confiscate the winnings generated.

I have gone into greater detail about these three cases in the "Escallation of winnings confiscation issues at Playtech powered casinos" article at Hundredpercentgambling and additionally summarised these and a handful of other current Playtech issues in a thread I posted at Casinomeister: Playtech: the nightmare list

Needless to say, I strongly recommend that you do NOT patronise any of the three Playtech casinos mentioned in this post.

Playtech will be in attendance at next week's International Casino Exhibition in London; I will be raising all these various issues with them, with a view to giving a little extra weight to their resolution and in the hope that they might start to realize that greater responsibility towards their licensees' conduct on their part will lead to an improved perception of Playtech in the eyes of the player community.

Endemol Will Partner Mobile Gaming

Endemol invented Big Brother, but will not be getting knee deep into the mobile gaming sector. Until the Americans agree to regulate remote gambling, there will always be a hands off approach taken by firms. Especially unhelpful regards mobile betting platforms and content delivery where real money gambling and gaming is involved.

In other words, Endemol may decide use mobile software built by others, such as casino software suppliers and licensees Microgaming and Chartwell Technology

Up a creek, without a Kanu
by Gerry McDonnell from Super Soccer

Here's something for all you trivia buffs; Steven Spielberg's masterpiece "The Colour Purple" may well have been inspired by Sir Alex Ferguson. After last weeks derby shambles, Fergie's face was the brightest shade of purple since Barney overdosed on grapes and Ribena, in an unusually depressing episode of Barney and Friends. Somebody will pay for Fergie's bruised ego, that somebody is Liverpool.

The Scousers may be Champions of Europe, but they're still not amongst the domestic elite. Their recent form looks impressive at first glance, but dig a little deeper and you'll discover that their opposition were easier to beat than Joe Cole. Their record against the big 3 this season is dismal; played four, won zero. A wounded Man U are a dangerous animal and the Pool are easy prey. Get on at even money.

Bookmakers were excited to hear of the training ground spat between Van Nistelrooy and Ronaldo. One leading odds compiler immediately offered 8/13 Van Nistelrooy in the ruck; explaining that a horse should always be favoured over a one trick pony. Van the man should be backed at 5/4 to score against the Reds.
Arsenal are what is known in the betting industry as a nailed on, in the bag, raging certainty. After hitting Boro for seven, they travel to Goodison to play a side they walloped 7-0 just last year; the Gunners are the weekend nap at 8/13. Alexander Hleb broke his goal scoring duck for Arsenal last weekend, the RSPCA have been informed. Goals are like buses, the Belarusian is 9/2 to repeat the feat against the Toffeemen.
Sam Allardyce was not a happy bunny after last weeks draw with Blackburn, he whipped out a set of stats that suggested Mike Riley favoured the team playing at home. Next week; Big Sam hints that the Earth may revolve around the Sun. Here's another obvious fact, get on Bolton at 6/5 to beat Man City.

Trevor Sinclair believes that scoring a goal is better than sex, he must know my wife. Trevor's boys will find goals hard to come by at the Reebok, back Bolton to keep a clean sheet at 7/4.
West Brom are odds on for relegation, their best player is away at the African Nations Cup and they blew a 2-0 lead against a Championship team before being booted out of the FA Cup in midweek. The better bettor knows the first rule in Premiership punting is to avoid Sunderland; at 4/1 against a depleted West Brom, meet the exception to the rule.
It's been a turbulent couple of weeks for Joe Cole, the future of English football. First, Jose threatened to drop him from the first team due to showboating; then a misunderstanding over a page 3 model led to Cole receiving two black eyes. Young Joe may have had his knockers, but he's worth an interest at 13/8 to score against Charlton, or at 7/1 to bag a nice pair.
A pensioner from Tyne and Wear passed on last week after Newcastle lost away at Fulham. I was shocked to hear that Graeme Souness's team selection was a factor; the police said it was an assisted Souey side. Some doubt the existence of zombies; yet Souness is undoubtedly a dead man walking. Blackburn have this Toon nailed; get on at 9/5.
The always popular weekend specials return.

"Big brother" - Gary Neville to score with a header 50/1
"Celebrity big brother" - Rio Ferdinand to score with a header 22/1
"Barry Moore" - Gareth Barry and Luke Moore both to score 20/1
"Pool Balls" - Liverpool not to score 5/4
Quote of the week:

"You fucking cheating bastard, you'll need a police escort to get out of here."

Sir Alex Ferguson is quite amiable to Steve Bennett.
Gibberish of the week:

"They've got injuries to come back, which they'll obviously be looking forward to and are desperate for."

Graeme Le Saux loses the plot.
Stat, you're a liberty:

The busiest goal keeper in the Premiership is Thomas Sorensen. The Villa keeper has made 72 saves in the Premiership, a whopping 10% clear of his nearest rival, Shay Given.
Acc of the week:

Arsenal, Birmingham, Man Utd and a Middlesbrough draw make the weekend accer; the 4 fold pays 19/1.

Wigan V Arsenal Carling Cup Betting

Carling Cup Semi-final 1st leg
Wigan V Arsenal
Kick Off 20:45
(10th January, 2006)

The last time the Wigan Latics and Arsenal met was in the premier league fixture that ended in a 3-2 win for the Arsenal Gooners

As the league stands at the moment, Wigan are 6th on 34 points, while Arsenal are in 5th on the same tally.

We are in for a tight match tonight. Paul Jewell's side has been decimated by injury, but Arsene Wenger usually fields an under-strengthed line up for the league cup, so things should be fairly even.

On that note, i'll be tentatively betting on the draw at 9/4.

Punter Wins 25k On Alonso Long Shot

Liverpool central midfielder Xabi Alonso hit a last minute goal against Luton from within his own half when the goalkeeper Marlon Beresford came forward for a last gasp corner.

The long shot goal triggered a true long shot in the Paddypower private football betting markets. Odds were available on request only at the start of the season of 125/1 for Liverpool football player Xabi Alonso to score a goal from within his own half.

The 125/1 odds were taken by 1 lucky football punter(Adrian Heywood) who amazingly staked £200 on the "long shot - long shot".

Paddypower offered the odds to Adrian Heywood, but refused to price up the bet unless the punter layed a decent wager. Hence Adrian staked £200 rather than a tenner. Paddypower are now rueing that decision to the tune of 25k.

The winning bet resulted in a very nice £25,000 payout for the soccer gambler extroadaire. I say extroadinaire, because to place such a bet is madness, to draw on such a wager is truly extroadary.

Fair dues to the football gambler Adrian though, he did his homework. This intrepid gambler noticed last season that Alonso had tried a few times last season to score from within his own half. This season, the opportunity arose and Alonso made no mistake with curling the ball into the empty Luton net from fully 60 yards out.
