Has
Steve McClaren lost the plot?
After losing 2-0 away to Croatia this evening, the question many will be asking is indeed -
has Mclaren lost the plot?
I say not. Croatia away was by far the most difficult match on paper in our Euro qualifying group. Yes,
England lost 2-0, our heaviest defeat at international level for more than a decade. I can't think of an England player in form at the moment. But, we are still joint second place in the group on 7 points. We are still strong in the betting to qualify. England were favourites to win the
2008 Euro Championships outright before tonight and the bookies are never that far away with their odds.
Talksport Radio ran a poll of England fans. 73% voted for McClaren to leave now. 5 games into a new manager's reign, and the fans are calling for the manager to resign. Expectations are as high with the England fans it seems, as it is with the bookmakers. I think we are a strong outfit and should stand firm together firmly behind the manager and the players even if we lose, unlike certain
newspaper journalists I won't mention by name.
Mclaren has not lost the plot, so don't panic people. The 3 lions are in for a battle. International football is never going to be a
cakewalk. I think the players and the management team of McClaren and Venables will see us through.
Come on England!

Mclaren is a clown. I cant beleive you defend him.
Who cares what the betting is, we were rubbish and Mclaren should resign. He is a embarassment.
Anyone who thinks Mcclaren is a good manager must be dumb.Downing is no good and Carrick is too slow, I should know.Parker shoulnt even play for England, you are a joke Mcclaren.
