Some Banks Don't Want Online Gambling Banned

The US anti online gambling brigade seem to want to ban online gambling by making the banks do the work for them, by blocking money transfers between the punter and the casino.

A group representing 5,000 small banks is opposing a tool lawmakers hope to use to stop illegal online gambling, posing a challenge to what is widely seen as the government's best shot at cracking down on the activity.
The Independent Community Bankers of America - ICBA insists the automatic financial systems were not created to do such a task. Therefore any online gambling ban will be burdensome for the banks to enforce, and will take a whole revamp of a system that works quite well as it is thankyou very much.
