QPR fan and Canadian international Marc Bircham was listed in the summer by new
QPR manager Gary Waddock.
The problem is, Bircham only has until the season ends before his contract runs out. That means Bircham can leave Loftus Road for free on a Bosman. It is rumoured Bircham is worth approximately £1million.
Marc Bircham said: "I've got a contract until the end of the season and I'm sticking to it. There's no way I'm leaving while I can still stay."
Which means financially QPR might aswell sign him up and let him play. He is a decent midfield ball-winner, and QPR cannot afford to throw away £1million footballers, whether the manager fancies them as a player or not. Problem is Waddock obviously does'nt have Bircham figured into his plans. Bircham now knows that, so probably won't sign a new contract, knowing full well he's not really wanted by the QPR manager any more, even as a diehard QPR supporter.
Wonderful.

I notice John Gregfory started Bircham in his first game in charge as new manager.
Maybe Gregory rates Bircham higher than Waddock did. Maybe Bircham will not leave for free on a Bosman afterall.
Rowlands has signed a new 2 year contract. No news about Bircham signing, as yet.
Rowlands Signs New 2 Year Deal
Martin Rowlands has agreed a new two-year contract at Loftus Road
Rowlands said: "I've signed for a further two years and I couldn't be more delighted.
I feel at home here and, with John Gregory coming in, it's great to be part of a new era.
The new gaffer was keen for me to put pen to paper as soon as possible, so now it's up to me to repay the faith he's shown in me."
Marc Bircham has been removed from the transfer list at hid own request.
Bircham was named captain for both of John Gregory's first two matches. Both wins against Hull and Southampton away.
There can't be many winning teams whose captain was transfer listed.
Let's hope the winning trend continues.
