Steve McClaren has selected his first ever England squad for the freindly against Greece in 5 days time (aug 16, 805pm)
McClaren wants England to be progressive. Hopefully the 3 lions play decent attacking football in the future under new management, unlike under Sven, who was rather defensive minded.
Steve McClaren considers managing England to be an honour and the pinnacle of his managerial career. He is also English, which should be a pre-requisite for any England team manager. I think all international soccer teams should be managed by someone eligible to play in the team by birth or citizenship.
Come on England!

The main fit casualty is previous captian David Beckham.
Goalkeeper David James is out.
Sol Campbell is out.

Centre back Michael Dawson in.
Defender Wes Brown is back.

So, the question on everybody's mind, was leaving out Becks a footballing decision, or a PR decision?
And secondly, are all of the players that he has chosen better than Becks?
Let's hope we beat Greece convincingly eh?

I think Beckham has been dropped for non-footballing reasons.
