The UK is still in the grip of a heatwave. Last wednesday was the hottest day ever in any July apparently. The weather forecast is very similar for this week here in Southern England. The hottest day forecasted for this week is wednesday, 26th of July.
Bookies Sweating (press release)
Bookmakers William Hill will be watching the mercury again this week as forecasters predict another heat wave. Hills are facing their biggest ever temperature payout should the 100f mark be reached this year - a payout that will be doubly painful should record temperatures be beaten. Hills offer 7/2 that temperatures will reach 100f in 2006 and 5/1 that the record of 101.3f will be beaten. "We have six figure liabilities but feel that there are only four or five weeks left when record temperatures could be beaten. Our fingers are crossed!"
William Hill Latest Weather Betting:
7/2 - Temperatures to reach 100f.
5/1 - A record UK temperature to be recorded.
8/1 White Christmas in London, Cardiff, Glasgow and Manchester.
