Poor Poker client Encryption & Security is a charge that has been levelled at 14 online poker rooms. Surprisingly including the well known Fred Done Bookmakers Poker according to Paul Jones from the newly formed UK Gambling Forums
What Poker Room Security Issues?
In a nutshell, some poker rooms are dropping unencrypted usernames and password information onto players computers. A users registry with text entry passwords may well be easily gleaned by various viruses and trojans via open ports or dodgy downloads. I think it is quite a serious breach of security for various reasons. It is not something I have noticed as normal practise with online casino software suppliers like Microgaming for example.
Poker Blogger Bill Rini is not amused.

Gamblog Comment - It should not be difficult for the Poker Rooms to address this security issue. Let's see how quickly they deal the cards correctly. To call the online poker players bluff on this one will eventually cost them more than a few hands of poker, for sure.
