6:20 John Godfrey Associates E.b.f. Maiden Stakes
Priory Bay can get the better of Extractor and Serene Highness in a tricky opener. Extractor is a son of Siphon out of a Fairy King mare so has plenty of speed in the pedigree and hailing from the powerful John Dunlop yard commands respect. Any market move for the debutant should be heeded. Stable companion Serene Highness is another to consider, although being by an Alydar mare a longer trip would suit. Once again the market should be watched closely and the stables second runner in the race can go well at a nice price. Ed Dunlops yard is going well-he had a winner on Thursday, and Priory bay can step up on a promising debut. He was doing all his best work in the closing stages and this looks an ideal winning opportunity. Priory bay can take this.
6:50 Wypall Wipers Challenge Nursery Handicap
Kings Bastion can get the better of Stir Crazy and Hucking Hill in this tricky nursery. A scorer at Kempton over the minimum trip in April, Hucking Hill has failed to win since but has ability. He may have to settle for a place here. A winner here in April, Stir Crazy ran well to be a close third to Lipocco on Thursday at Leicester. That was a good effort and he is respected here. A Lingfield winner in May, Kings Bastion has been running in better company since and was not disgraced when finishing a decent third at Bath last time. This looks an easier task and Kings Bastion can make his class tell.
7:20 Ladbrokes.com Supporting Spinal Injuries Assoc Handicap
Rubys Dream can get the better of Hammer Of The Gods and Diamond Josh in a big field. Diamond Josh has been in good form recently, with wins at Bath and Ripon to his credit. Although well beaten behind Further Outlook last time he still looks well treated and can go close in this wide open affair. A winner over the course and distance two outings ago, Hammer Of The Gods ran really well to be a close third at Windsor last time and despite top weight he can give a good account here. A winner at Leicester two outings ago, Rubys Dream was just touched off by Safranine last time, and that one ran well in defeat at Leicester on Thursday. Rubys Dream can score here.
7:50 Kimberley-clark Professional Claiming Stakes (aw)
Opera Writer can take this from Writ and Musiotal in a tight affair. Musiotal has a long winless run behind him but shaped much better on three recent runs at Wolverhampton before disappointing on Turf at Hamilton last time. Back on an all-weather surface here he can go well. Writ was beaten in a seller two outings ago but bounced back to form over the course and distance last time, scoring in game fashion. That was a decent effort and Writ can go well. After promising efforts at Thirsk and Wolverhampton, Opera Writer lost his maiden tag in style at Southwell last time. He has been put in here with a likely weight and can follow up. Opera Writer can be music to the punters cheers.
8:20 Ron Huggins Selling Stakes (aw)
Bishops Finger is taken to get the better of Good Article and Milk and Sultana in a trappy affair. A scorer at Lingfield in February, Milk and Sultanas is consistent and rarely runs a bad race. A case in point was his last race at the track where he finished a sound second. He can go close again. Third in a seller two outings ago, he scored comfortably in that grade last time. Although this is a slight rise in grade his confidence will have been restored by that win and he can run well. Bishops Finger is a course and distance specialist, having scored in a claimer here in January, he returned to the course and distance to collect a seller here last time. He is in good heart and Bishops Finger is the one to point out.
8:50 9th Year Of David Woodhouse Birthday Fillies' Handicap (aw)
Let Slip, Shamila and Silken Act are the three to look at here and Let Slip is the one to take this finale. Shamila made late headway over this trip at Kempton last time to be second, but that was the fifth occasion she has finished runner up in seven starts and she can be taken on. Silken Act has been keeping better company than this in recent runs at Windsor and Salisbury and has been taking on some useful opponents. This looks easier and Silken Act can go well. Let Slip won at Kempton in April and has run well in handicaps since without winning, just touched off in a return to the track last time and placed in a Sandown handicap in between. Let Slip can make amends for that narrow defeat last time.
