2:10 Mountsorrel Median Auction Maiden Stakes
Shumookh can land the opener at the expense of Diamond Shower and Amazing Charlie. The selection is well related and is a half brother to the Oaks winner Eswarah and classy miler Umniyatee. The yard are having plenty of winners at present so this newcomer by Mujahid has to be given a live chance of winning on his racecourse debut. Diamond Shower has had two runs to date and was eye catching when showing marked improvement when finishing second to Majaales at Salisbury last time out. More improvement will be needed once more to win this though. Amazing Charlie is another who has not been disgraced on either start so far so any market support should be noted. But for the winner we return to Shumookh.
2:40 Raceday Hospitality Selling Stakes
Lord Blue Boy, Bowl Em Over and River Rosie are the three against the field with the vote going to the last named. River Rosie was in winning form last time out when scoring at Bath in similar company. The horse does have his limitations but if reproducing his form and with conditions to suit he will prove difficult to beat. Lord Blue Boy is trained by the king of the two year old sellers Bill Turner so has to be respected for that reason alone. His latest effort has close form with Bowl Em Over who bids to do battle once more. Lord Blue Boy was under two lenghths behind in third but this time is five pounds better off with Bowl Em Over so theoretically the placings should be reversed but for the winner we return to River Rosie.
3:10 Racecourse Video Services Nursery Handicap
Argentine to taken to land this at the expense of Lipocco and Party Palace. The selection was in winning action last time out when beating Ice Mountain by half a length at Carlisle. He is put into a handicap to run of a mark of eighty eighty which seems a fair mark so he is taken to follow up on his maiden win. Lipocco will prove as the biggest danger and has been in the frame on each of his three starts to date so far. He finished second to Southandwest at Bath on his latest outing and it wont be long before he is in the winners enclosure. Party Palace broke his duck in selling company at York last time out. He won comfortably enough that day but more is needed against this better opposition so for the winner we return to Argentine.
3:45 Free Tips At Gg.com Handicap
Certain Justice is taken to follow up on his recent Leicester win at the expense of Rezzago and Torquemada. The selection beat Imperial Gain that day by a short head and is only running of a mark of one pound higher so has not been battered by the handicapper. If repeating that run he has to go close. Rezzago has a chance on the back of his recent second behind Irony at Kempton. The form has since been franked with Irony winning again at Chepstow last week so the form has stood well. Torquemada won on the all weather at Lingfield before being out classed at Newmarket last time out. He is better judged on his previous outing so has to be short-listed. But for the winner we return to Certain Justice.
4:20 Gg.com Claiming Stakes
A three horse race in effect involving Tedstale, Khanjat and Oldenway with the vote going to the last named. The selection has been in winning form this season at Southwell, Catterick and at Yarmouth so the has climbed in the weights. As a result he has found things tough of late but as he is so consistent and has been well placed he is taken tom score once again here. Tedstale is still looking for success this season but has run well in defeat. He was thrown in at the deep end last time out and is better judged on his other runs so if bouncing back to his best is given a chance. But for the winner we return to Oldenway
4:50 Melton Mowbray Conditions Stakes
Ashaawes can land this at the expense of Imperial Star and Tell. The Godolphin horses have staerted to recapture some of their form with a few decent winners this week so Ashaawes can do themselves proud here on his seasonal reappearance. Last year he won at Newmarket in maiden company before not being disgraced at York thereafter. If fit he has the pick of the form and can win. Imperial Star has done nothing wrong this year and has done nothing but improve all year. He has won twice at Windsor this season and looks a horse on the upgrade but may find one too good here. Tell has the services of Jamie Spencer on board but his form figures need improvement so for the winner we return to Ashaawes.
5:25 Great Glen Handicap
Pachello, Danehill Stroller and Louphole look the main contenders with the nod going to the last named. The selection has been in unbelievably consistent form this season hardly finishing out of the frame. He won on his penultimate run at Bath when two lengths infront of Danehill Stroller who is noe one pond better off. He then finished an eye catching second to Caustic Wit at Epsom last time out. With conditions to suit here he is taken to land himself back in the winners enclosure once again. Pachello carries top weight but was behind the selection at Epsom last time and to reverse the form will prove to be a tough task so for the winner we return to Louphole.
