England beat Trinidad 2-0 with a couple of goals in the last 10 minutes to spare the 3 lions blushes.
The game went as expected tactically-wise. England 442 attacking, Trinidad 4141 with 11 men behind the ball. The question was would the English score, or get caught on the break? Gladly England scored twice, albeit late on in the football match.
There will be a lot of talk about formations, substitutes, Rooney, Sven's tactics and so on. The main thing is England are through to the knockout stages of the World Cup finals. That small fact will be lost upon most, but those are romanticist's waffling on about how the beautiful game of soccer should be played.
We won 2-0, that'll do for me.
