The Aintree National meeting is here... The big one is only 2 days away. Lets see if we can't get some extra cash together for the National by picking another juicy double figure priced winner, to follow up on the 16/1 shot (win only) New Mill at Cheltenham.
The standout selection for the day is Demi Beau in the 4.20 race on this afternoons (thurs 6 apr) card at Aintree

Andreas, the probable favourite is the unknown quantity in the race, bags of raw ability but prone to silly mistakes. That he will NOT be able to get away with at Aintree. For this reason alone I will pass him over and at a better price it must be worth siding with Evan Williams's charge Demi Beau.
A horse who certainly has the speed and ability to win a race of this description, as evidenced when beating Lorient Express at Ludlow on 21/12/05. Giving away over a stone and beating Lorient Express readily by 4 lengths was no fluke either. To discount Demi Beau at a possibly overpriced 14/1 could be a wrick by the bookies with such strong previous form in the book.
Demi Beau should not be condemned for his latest run over a distance untried before. Back to his prefered distance he has a good chance at rewarding EW odds at 14/1.
