Christmas was frantic at home here, I did manage to keep up with the QPR results though.
The 1-0 defeat away at Brighton was not a good start to the xmas fixtures. I hoped it was not the way of things.
Ranger then beat Cardiff 1-0 at home, which was nice and much needed. Marc Nygaard got the winner, then limped off injured again I believe.
The Crewe game was interesting. Rangers ended up 4-3 winners away from home. The goalscorers were Lee Cook (35), Shabazz Baidoo (37), Martin Rowlands (57) and Richard Langley (81) ended up with the winner. 3 much needed points there in quite a barnstormer of a match.
Lastly the superhoops drew 1-1 at home to Burnley. Against the run of play Burnley took the lead on 10 minutes. Then just before half time, Ainsworth scored with a looping header to level the score. The second half was a quiet affair for Burnley who just about clung on to the point. The weary QPR players took the game to Burnley, but could not get the much deserved winning goal.
All in all a decent christmas for QPR, gleaning 7 points from a possible 12. Especially after losing the first game to Brighton. Rangers ended up in 13th place in the league, only 5 points off of the play-off positions and a good 11 points away from the relegation zone.
