Aaron Brown has gone out on loan to Cheltenham on a month long loan.
The left sided midfielder battled back well from a broken leg, but has not managed to impress enough to claim a starting place over Lee Cook.
We had Cooke and Rowlands out with injury at the start of the season. Holloway played Moore out of position on the left of midfield, rather than start with Aaron Brown in his best position.
Obviously Brown needs to get some games under his belt, before we see his true form at QPR.
Richard Langley has been told by Ian Holloway to Get Fit.
Langley had to come off against Leicester on saturday with cramp, despite having trained with QPR for 2 weeks, twice appearing from the bench.
Holloway On Langley's Fitness >> ♠ "Langley had to come off with cramp in the game at Leicester on Saturday.
♠ I don't know what they've been doing at Cardiff, but we will have to get him fitter."
QPR Blog Comment >> Langley knows the job, Langers will kno whe's not fit enough. Now Holloway has said it in the open, Langley had better pull his finger out before he finds himself on his way out of QPR again.
Mathew Hislop is injured for 2 weeks, which is a good thing. Good because the young left back left the pitch with a suspected broken ankle. That is Rose out, Milanese and our 3rd left back Hislop injured.
Holloway reacted quickly and has drafted in West Bromwich Albion left footer Lloyd Dyer, who can play at left full back or left midfield.
QPR got the 3 points away at Leicester with a fine 2-1 victory. Nygaard scored his first goal, Furlong found his scoring feet with an untidy winner, but who cares about looking good, when there are points up for grabs.
With Leicester down to 10 men and QPR 1-0 up for most of the game, Hammonds late equaliser would have been a real morale sucker if the match had ended 1-1. In the end, QPR got the winner and things feel just fine from this end. I am sure the dressing room is bouyant today.
QPR Team Following on from the ill fated Leeds game last weekend Holloway shuffled the pack as he tried to get back to winning ways. Royce was in goal behind a back four of Bignot, Shittu, Santos and debut boy Hislop. Langley started on the right of midfield alongside Bircham, Lomas and Cook. Nygaard was handed his first start for the club as Furlong's partner up top.
QPR Blog Comment >> Super-Hoops'aaaaa. Nice to beat Leicester with 2 big brawlers up front. Kind of poetic justice with the way Leicester have bruised teams out of points in the past.
Not really very happy about losing to Leeds 1-0 at home. Leeds were supposed to be struggling with a virus in the camp. By the way the match went, I think they infected us with leaden foot syndrome.
For the QPR 0 Leeds 1 reports, click the link at the top and weep.
Sir Les had retired, but stayed in training with Watford, because he lives 10 minutes from the ground. Watford needed cover, so Sir Les has joined them on non contract terms, whatever that means.
QPR Blog Comment >> Sir Les Ferdinand should come home to QPR, on "non contract terms."
It would be a boost for QPR to have Sir Les grace the Loftus Road pitch in the heat of the battle one last time, to end his playing career in style.
He should stay on as a coach and could temporarily take the reigns from Holloway to face Hayes in a pre-season friendly.
Marcus Bean wants to leave QPR and go play for Swansea. With Richard Langley and Steve Lomas recently joining QPR, Bean anticipates playing even less games than before, which was'nt many.
I think Marcus Bean has a point. The truth is when Bean plays, he shows promise, but is not dominant enough in midfield to hold down a regular first team place. So what to do for either side? The ambitous club versus the ambitious youngster usually ends in a parting of the ways.
I wish Marcus Bean all the best, if he gets his move.
Saturday is Southampton. We could do with a good performace against Harry Redknapp's team.
The interesting thing to report is the return of playmaker Richard Langley on a free. Maybe Steve Lomas will make his full debut, although exactly where these players will fit in I am not sure. Additionally, Rowlands and Lee Cooke could feature after injury.
Bill Power said >> Today following advice from my doctor and after lengthy discussions with my family and each member of the board I am confirming my departure as chairman of QPR.
I am well aware of the feelings of supporters having received literally hundreds of goodwill messages. But I must be selfish and think of my own health and also the health of two family members, both lifelong R's - my beautiful mum and my lovely father-in-law, who are both in hospital and not in the best of health.
Rivals.net - QPR >> Langley and Lomas Sign > QPR have snapped up former midfield playmaker Richard Langley (#1 year deal) and combative ex West Ham defender Steve Lomas on free transfers.
♠ Lomas brings international experience, versatility and steadiness. ♠ Langley brings flair, creativity and some attitude.
Richard Langley said >> It's really nice to be back and see all the familiar faces. I've kept in contact with quite a few of the lads and now I can't wait to pull on the blue and white hoops again."
"The club has moved on, the squad is bigger and the training facilities are excellent. There is a lot of talent in the squad but I'd also like to think I've improved as a player."
"I just hope the fans welcome me back. I'm sure there will be a few sceptics but it is up to me to win them over.
QPR Blog Comment >> It is very nice to have a real creative midfielder back at the club. Hopefully Langley will play well enough back at Loftus Road, to earn himself a really big move in the future. I have no doubts coming back to QPR is a stepping stone move for Langley, but that is okay as far as I am concerned if he plays us into the Premier one day.
The Big Soccer Survey >> Soccer Survey > Got an email touting a soccer survey. I did the QPR football club survey.
Truth >> Don't know who it is from, what will be done with the results long term, or what will be done with the email and postcode one has to enter at the end of "the big soccer survey".
Critique >> All UK league teams are covered. The site and questionaire is well done, so The Big Soccer Survey deserves a mention on the internet. I did the survey anyhow. If that helps.
Comment >> Suspicious of the word "soccer" in there. It is football, not soccer, this is an English run site and "the big soccer survey" is about English football clubs.
