BBC - QPR 2-1 Nottm Forest >> QPR 2-1 Nottm Forest Nottingham Forest have been relegated after they lost at QPR.
The City Ground club become the first ever former European champions to slip into the third tier of their domestic league, as they move into League One.
Forest had Darryl Powell sent off after half an hour and were sunk by goals from John Curtis and Marc Bircham. Substitute Eugen Bopp pulled one back with a crisp finish 13 minutes from time but it was not enough for a Forest side who produced a tepid display.
QPR Official - Could It Be You >> The Uk 2005 professional footballers challenge gives you the chance to prove you are good enough to play for QPR and win a contract to sign for QPR on professional terms. If you think you can cut it, are aged 16 to 35, then Rodney Marsh and the QPR crew will put you through the paces.
BOSS MUST WHEEL AND DEAL - POWER >> "Ian Holloway will be kept on a tight leash by the QPR board as he attempts to strengthen his squad in the summer.
Holloway is one of the fiercest critics of the imminent change to the transfer laws, which means Football League clubs will be able to trade players only in the summer and in January.
The Rangers boss has vowed to increase the size of his squad - but chairman Bill Power will urge caution.
'Ian Holloway has a list of players he wants to bring in,' said Power.
'His biggest problem is my telling him not to spend too much money and to go out and find one of his gems.' "
QPR Official - Nick Culkin Retires >> Nick Culkin(26) has had to retire from the professional game as a goalkeeper due to a longstanding knee injury.
Nicky Culkin may get a testimonial from QPR and maybe Man Utd - where he came through the youth side at Old Trafford. A testimonial game between QPR and Man Utd would be a fair call, to help the lad financially, through the difficult times ahead of him, after losing his trade.
QPR slowed down the Wigan promotiuon locomotive with a battling display to earn a 0-0 draw. Wigan blew a good few chances, most notably Jason Roberts when he hit the post in the second half.
Generosso Rossi played in goal for Rangers. Rossi must have made up with Holloway. To keep a clean sheet away at Wigan must have been a good performance. If pure luck, then that'll do. A lucky goaalie is probably more use than a good one.
Shabazz Baidoo played up front and caused a few problems, to his credit. Good performance from the youngster. Replacing Paul Furlong can't be easy right now.
All in all a good point and a battling performance, when most would be expecting QPR to roll over, seeing that it is just pride we are playing for at the moment. I am gladdened the pride is there still. I am sure Holloway gave "pride" a mention somwhere along the line.
Paul Gascoigne is doing coaching courses at the moment to get his Uefa coaching badges.
I have a crazy Man Utd fan sitting next to me whe reckoms he has heard a rumour that Gazza, aka G8, aka Paul Gascoigne will be a coach at QPR next season
Pure speculation and rumour of course, totally ~ but an interesting thought nonetheless.
QPR Blog Comment >> "Gazza to be a coach at QPR?" ~ I am not sure how I feel about it, but I doubt very much Gazza will actually be a coach at QPR atall. If he did, it would certainly bring the cameras to Loftus Road.

QPR Blog Comment :: I am just a QPR fan and a QPR report writer when I can be bothered. I am not a businessman. I cannot really comment on the financial situation at the club. I could pontificate somewhat on the subject of QPR finances, but it would end up in a rant.
HOLLOWAY PRIDE IN BATTLING QPR: "HOLLOWAY PRIDE IN BATTLING QPR QPR boss Ian Holloway was full of pride in his injury-ravaged team despite their 2-0 defeat to an Adi Akinbiyi-inspired Burnley at Turf Moor. The Londoners, who have won once in seven matches, were forced into making four changes to the side that drew 1-1 with Leeds, without 10 players through injury and suspension and following on-loan defender Andrew Davies' return to Middlesbrough. Striker Shabazz Baidoo, making his first start, was taken off injured after 29 minutes and replaced by debutant Lewis Hamilton, who himself came off for another youngster making his bow, Luke Townsend, at half-time. Even more worryingly for Holloway, with a trip to promotion-chasing Wigan looming at the weekend, key midfielder Marc Bircham was stretchered off midway through the second period and replaced by Scott Mulholland, also making his first Rangers appearance. Holloway said: 'It seems to be going that way for us. We have been falling over like skittles and that's one game we probably could have done with playing when it was scheduled for. 'I'm delighted with their efforts. Five of that team know their fates, they've signed for next year, four senior ones don't know their fate and some of the young lads who made their debut and have been told they're not wanted by the club. 'We came here against an almost full-strength Burnley side and for large parts of the game we passed it quite well, moved it quite well and created one or two opportunities. It was a really flat game. It was a little bit lacklustre and it was almost like a testimonial game."
Holloway explained that Baidoo "got a knee in the glutinous maximus" and felt Hamilton had been "put on in an area he hadn't played before and it showed".
He added: "I don't know what it is (with Bircham). He seems to have fallen over, bent his foot right back and twisted his knee at the same time.
"Whether there was an invisible man out there that tripped him up I don't know."
Rangers manager Ian Holloway pounced for the 17-year-old on transfer deadline day and he will be available to line up against the Black Cats on Saturday.
Shimmin, a central defender, was a youth player at Loftus Road before moving to current Premiership champions Arsenal

QPR manager Ian Holloway says he can't fault the effort of his players after one point from two home matches all-but ended their hopes of playing Premiership football next season."
Chairman Bill Power and Chief Executive Mark Devlin have been widely condemned on the message boards and will face a barrage of criticism at games and the fans forum. 'It's not a decision we have taken lightly .... we would soon be playing Conference football,' Power told the official qpr website
BBC - Burnley 2-0 QPR "QPR boss Ian Holloway on injuries to Shabazz Baidoo, Lewis Hamilton and Marc Bircham:

The Fat Lady Ollyism "Quote of the Day" 'The fat lady hasn't sung but she's got the microphone in her hand,' following Rangers 1-1 result with Gillingham at home, which puts a serious dampener on play-off prospects. (Ian Holloway 5/4/05)
QPRnet.com - QPR 1 Leeds 1: "ROPEY REF SAVES LUCKY LEEDS Rangers missed out on a win against Leeds United thanks to a myopic referee who seemed to have no idea what a penalty was. Two cast iron appeals and one slightly dubious one were ignored by Mr Olivier in a game that Rangers deserved to win and Leeds scarcely deserved a point from."
Charlton goalkeeper Simon Royce (34) Has Returned To Charlton and apparently Ian Holloway has inquired as to Royce's permanent future. Royce's contract ends on June 30 2005. With Generoso Rossi managing to annoy Holloway and Day's not so hot perfomances, allied with Royce's good performance while on loan, it is a fair guess to say QPR might sign Royce next season, or maybe not ~ who knows?
The QPR Season Ticket Prices Have Gone Up and Paul Devlin say's the season ticket prices for last year were too low for this standard of football and the running costs therein. QPR Official 2005 - 2006 Season Ticket News
QPR Season Ticket Price Rise - Updated 13 April 2005 A QPR fan revolt is brewing over the 50% to 100% rise in some QPR season ticket prices.
If Holloway get's the £6,750.00 starting price on his car (Jaguar XJ Sport V8), it would give him enough money to buy another player for QPR from the non pro leagues heh.
Bircham On The Radio Chatting About Holloway Saying The Team Is Ugly
Marc Bircham was on the Hawkesby and Jacobs show today on talkSPORT Radio chatting about Ian Holloway's quip that the QPR team is the ugliest looking bunch of playerto wear a QPR shirt.
Bircham piped back questioning the looks of Holloway's side from back in 94. The likes of Alan McDonald, Darren Peacock, Ray Wilkins, Gary Penrice and Holloway himself (nicknamed "Gollam" at the club presently) were'nt exactly oil paintings themselves. Bircham said Tony Roberts was also ex rated. I am not sure if he means Robert's performances at times.
I think Birch has a point about the looks. A look at the bench of 94 and you would catch a glance of Devon White. -- Scary.
Bircham forgot Brevett and Impey. -- Double scary.
Is Michael Hunt, once sentenced to 8 years for the biggest tax fraud ever known in Great Britain, the man behind the ABC corporation?
Clues inside ~ not like the fans never knew about Michael Hunt, ABC and the 10 million pound loan anyway after some good detective work by QPR 1st Trust
Never went anywhere near Sheffield today but I gather by reading the QPR Official Site Sheffield Utd Match Report that we played well and were robbed of a point by the referee.
Paul Furlong was out today so George Santos played up front next to Gallen I gather. The 3-2 defeat leaves us pretty much no chance of getting into the playoffs, but overall it has been quite a season.
"That challenge was nothing," Holloway raged. "Decisions change games and that was an absolute disgrace, an embarrassment. "I thought we played well and scored two good goals and then that happens. "I had people behind me laughing at that penalty and Leigh Bromby even apologised to Marc Bircham after the game. "It's a physical game and I feel sick. You work all week, you plan and you get kicked in the teeth. The referee has ripped out my heart and stamped on it. "I feel sick to the soles of my feet and I think I'll cry myself to sleep. Even copious amounts of white wine won't wipe out this feeling." The red card for Andrew Davies hardly improved the manager's mood either. "The sending off was a ridiculous decision, Ollie blasted. "I've seen it on the tape and it should of been a free-kick to us! Kabba tripped Andy Davies first.
The QPR ladies team will be playing on the hallowed turf of Loftus Road for the first time in 3 years this sunday against Barnet ladies.
Martino Chevannes, the ladies QPR team manager and QPR soccer in the community football coach, will not be looking to get beat at Loftus Road. It should be a tough game for the ladies, but they will win.
Tickets are 2 quid for adults and 50p for children, so get along to see the QPR ladies play.
Gillingham almost see any game against any London club as a derby match. Gillingham are also fighting for their lives and it showed in the first half. Gillingham caused us no end of trouble for quite long spells of the first half and took what could be considered a deserved first half lead into half time.
Second hal;f was nearly all Rangers, fans player of the season to be Paul Furlong put away his 17th goal of the season after a through ball from Lee Cooke. After that it was nearly all Rngers, with the odd scare, but to no avail. Most memorable was the goalmouth 3 man duck shoot, where Rangers had 3 goes in a row at putting the ball away for the 3 points.
No joy after all.
Maybe we can reach the playoffs still, but need to improve our form quite a bit. It would be helpful if Matthew Rose were'nt so injury prone. Rose is not even a left back and still outplays Padula all too regularly, which is saying something. What has happened to Padula? Hwe was class last season.
Sunderland 3 Andrew Welsh (46) Chris Brown (63) Julio Arca (75)
I think we were out-grunted after half time and am still not happy about it. Maybe these players are over achieving and need replacing with people that think they belong in the premier league. The firm we got out-grunted by on our own pitch, will very likely go up and if the QPR players here at the moment think we are over achieving, then we might just go back down next season.
I think the manager afterthoughts say it all ::
IAN HOLLOWAY: "I'm not a happy man. The players talked about concentration; I talked about desire. We had some great chances from set-pieces, but some players lacked that bit of nastiness to get in there and get their heads on it. In the second half, they came at us like a red-and-white swarm and showed unbelievable desire. We've got seven games left, and we probably need to win six of them, we're boxed in against the rails. It's a tall order, but we'll keep believing."
MICK MCCARTHY: "I told them they were awful. I threw my notes away at half-time. They were worthless, because we did not compete. I used a torrent of bad language in the dressing room, before we set about discussing how we could improve things. We managed to do that, and in the second half we were pretty good."
The fourth Q.P.R. F.C. star to join the Bunburys (fifth if you include Stan Bowles appearance at Brentford for 3 mins), along with Danny Boy, Bara and Muzza
♠ I know who Stan Bowles is. ♠ I guess "Danny Boy" is Danny Maddix. ♠ I guess "Bara" is Ian Baraclough. ♠ MUZZA ~ who is Muzza?
There is a QPR fan who can tell me, I am sure of it. Comments box please.
