Square Football.net soccer journalist Paul Meadows does'nt seem to think there was much
right about Wright Phillips signing for Chelsea atall. I am inclined to agree with Meadows.
Shaun Wright Phillips, adopted son of ex England, Arsenal and Crysyal Palace striker Ian Wright, has not completed a full 90 minutes for Jose Mourinho's Chelsea side all season. Chelsea signed Phillips for £21 million, but the right midfielder only gets on for bit part cameo roles.
Sven Goran Eriksson won't even think of dropping Beckham to play Wright Phillips in thr England team if the right sided winger does'nt complete a full match for his club side, even if it is the
Dutch international soccer star Arjen Robben keeping the ex Man City player on the bench.
Seems like Shaun Wright Phillips might aswell stayed and played at
Manchester City for Stuart Pearce, rather than sit on the bench doing nothing much for Roman Abramovich's real life subutteo soccer project -
Chelsea FC I dare say Phillips has fattened the bank account, but his lack of games is not going to help his footballing career any. Wright Phillips probably has made the wrong move, by moving to Chelsea. We shall see.
