OK, so
Gazza has been sacked by
Kettering Town Football Club chairman Imraan Ladak.
Apparently, the former England, Newcastle, Spurs, Everton and Lazio playmaker/midfielder Gascoigne was in no fit state to run the team. I gather Ladak has been cited as saying that
Gascoigne committed 37 offences during 39 days at the football club.
Imraan Ladak Added
Paul was under the influence of alcohol before, during and after several first-team games and training sessions.
Paul needs help. So many people have been waiting for him to go wrong. The bookmakers have said he'll be out before Christmas. The pressure has got the better of him.
It would be great if people got behind Paul and didn't knock him."
Now what I want to know, is why Gascoigne was not sacked before so many alledged "drink related offences" took place. What gives here? Gascoigne is a big name and has put Kettering Town FC on the footballing world map with his mere presence.
Gazza Has Refuted Ladak's Claims by the way.
Why sack Gazza now? Why not before? Many questions, little in the way of answers. I guess we will all have to wait and see what the soccer news gods have in store for us. I get the feeling Ladaak will milk this for all it is worth. Can you say - I'll see you in court mr Gascoigne? I'd lay short odds that is what Ladaak has planned for our Paul.
I think it's about time people got off of Gazza's back to be honest. Long live Gazza.
