England May Bid For 2018 World CupWord is England will be bidding to host the 2018
Fifa World Cup.
Of course, the FA are being cagey. But such as football politics go, we have heard the pre-cursor to an official bid forthcoming in the foreseeable future. In my opinion of course.
No mention of a Great Britain bid to host the World Cup, so I doubt a joint bid with Scotland, Wales, North and Republic of Ireland is in the works.

"A bid to bring the World Cup Finals back to England in 2018 will be given serious consideration.
But it will be at least next autumn before we would put any definite proposals in place.
It's fantastic news that the Government, through the Treasury, have announced their support for any future bid.
But, in terms of the precise nature of any such bid, that won't be decided on for another year or so."
England Blog Comment >> We have the stadiums, we have the history. It has been a long time since 1966, when England last hosted the World Cup finals.
We Are England! I am all for it.
