Roberto Carlos On Ashley Cole

Roberto Carlos (32) has heard rumours that Real Madrid are interested in signing England left back Ashley Cole from Arsenal.

Ashley Cole has been touted as the best left back in the world by various footballing pundits. Roberto Carlos is of the opinion that Ashley Cole would be his cover if he came to Real, judging by his latest comments.

Then again, judging by Carlos's final words, he is certainly concerned by the news Ashley Cole may be on his way to the Bernabeu

Roberto Carlos:
"I have heard lots of rumours about my future and Ashley Cole.

'The club has to look at other players because every position needs cover and Cole is a very good player, who would be a good replacement for me one day.'

'I love Real Madrid and would love to retire from football as a player at this club.

'I have a contract and I am happy working with the coach.

'But, as we saw with Luis Figo moving to Italy in the summer, you never know what is around the corner."
