Fergie - Sir Alex Ferguson watched in dismay this afternoon as Steve Mclaren's Middlesbrough ripped his Man Utd team to pieces. The match ended 4-1 to Boro

The pressure is mounting on Fergie to retire because Man Utd are not doing very well atall. New head honcho Malcolm Glazer won't have any affection towards Ferguson when it comes to giving marching orders. 12/1 for Fergie to go before any other premier league manager is reasonable I guess.

Fergie was a 50/1 shot to be the first boss to go at the start of the season and I don't think he's even been shorter that 25/1 before, but he is under severe pressure after this disastrous result and if it is followed up by a poor Champions League result in midweek his odds are likely to shorten ever further."
