England V Austria was interesting today, interesting to see the route of the england armband around the pitch.
Beckham is the captain but was sent off. The armband then went to Michael Owen as per usual. Sven identified Beckham and Owen as the two most likely "social leaders" early on in his reign.
The third captain was interesting. When Owen came off in the last 10 he passed the armband to Stephen Gerrard. Would Sol have got the armband 3rd if he was on the pitch?
What about John Terry? Will John Terry ever wear the England armband?
Who is most likely to take the armband when Beckham retires? I guess Owen will still be about by then, so Owen will probably be the England captain for a good while to come.
Have I missed anyone?
