QPR 1st Press Release >>
The Supporters Trust for Queens Park Rangers FC is saddened at the recent events relating to the board of QPR Holdings Ltd, the holding company of the club.
The recent incidents behind the scenes, which have involved the police and now yesterday's changes in the boardroom are emblematic of the manner in which we prefer QPR's business not to be conducted, i.e., in an opaque, uncertain, possibly illegal manner in which we, the supporters, are left in the dark, puzzled, and embarrassed.
QPR 1st Supporters Trust would like to reassure all Trust members and other stakeholders in QPR that it is in consultation with some of the involved parties and with lawyers with an eye to playing whatever role we can in the resolution of these developments in the best interests of QPR Football Club.
We urge the other Supporters' Groups at QPR to join us in seeking a meeting with all board members, the various parties involved and other key persons who are interested in open lines of communication with the QPR family, which, as we all are aware, is truly global in its reach.
Transparency is the fundamental hallmark of QPR 1st Supporters Trust. At this difficult time in our club's history, we pledge to members and non-members alike that we will continually seek out opportunities to engage key personnel at the club with the ultimate goal of letting the supporters make up their own minds.
We urge supporters not to divide over this situation and to unite to support the club in what has been a very difficult time last few weeks in the history of our truly wonderful football club.
