Michael Owen Joins Newcastle

Michael Owen has joined Newcastle United after a meeting with Newcastle manager Graeme Souness, Shearer, Chairan Freddie Shepperd and coach Dean Saunders.

Owen will sign a 4 year deal and joins the toons if he passes a medical later, which is a mere formality.

Huge mistake this in my opinion. Does he realise that he wont be playing in Europe for the next few years, or until they get rid of Souness?

I guess he's got an eye out for next year's World Cup, but still, from Real to Newcastle? He'll live to regret this decision I'm sure.

Can you imagine if they got relegated?
