Wimbledon Tennis would not be the same without the womens competition. The rallies are long, the skirts are short dare I say it and the competition is usually an open one. Therefore the betting is always interesting, Wimbledon 2005 is no different this time around.
Maria Sharapova is the 5/2 betting favourite, a price of no interest to me whatsoever.
Justine Henin Hardenne is second favourite in the womens Wimbledon betting, another price too short for me.
Kim Clisters is joint third favouroitre in the Womens Wimbledon betting at odds of 4/1, I will pass on Kim, good as she is. She won't be winning the Wimbledon ladies title in my opinion.
I am more interested in the 4/1 odds on offer about Serena Williams lifting the Wimbledon womens title this year, even though Serena seems to be more interested in fashion and fame than tennis at the moment. I think Serena is a strong tennis player and will take all the beating in this years Wimbledon ladies competition. Serena will get through the first few rounds and the 4/1 on offer at the moment will not last and hedging will be a simple process come the later rounds. Hedging will depend on Serena's form early on in the Wimbledon ladies rounds.
